After a couple of recent conversations with friends I was reminded that we are not alone in this process and that I should be sharing the small victories with our supporters. This summer has been busy and productive. We have explained before the mass amounts of paperwork that accompany an adoption. Well...since we have collected all of our documents they have been notarized, certified, authenticated, and NOW they have been successfully translated and legalized (in the United States)!!! The translation and legalization happened in July. We are very excited and prayed hard that there wouldn't be any bumps in this process and there were zero! Our international social worker said that our agency would be sending our paperwork to Haiti next week! Our original goal was mid-August, but who are we to argue with God's timing. :-) Thank you to those who have joined us in prayer. I truly believe God hears and responds to our prayers. There are still several more steps before we have an official match. The next step is for our paperwork to be legalized by the Haitian government. Please pray that the process moves as seamlessly as the rest of our process. Pray for the individuals who handle our paperwork and have to make decisions concerning our case.
For those of you praying with us:
-pray for the care givers of the orphans in Haiti
-pray that Joey and I are attentive to God as he prepares us to parent under unique circumstances
-pray that Molly and Lincoln continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ and have hearts for their new siblings
-pray our children in Haiti feel God's peace that He has a family waiting for them
Abandoned to Christ,
Amy
