Heels for Haiti
It is been an extremely busy few weeks with our adoption. I have not had a chance to promote our 5K fundraiser as much as I would have like to, but I'm going to work on it in the next two weeks! Please help us share this information and encourage anyone who you might know who might be interested in participating. PLEASE let everyone know that it is OKAY to walk it!! I have had a number of people ask if it was okay for them to walk and several who said this will be their first 5K...We are excited about everyone who wants to participate. Please email me @ amycarolinefitzgerald@gmail.com or call (912)470-9559 for more information on participating or sponsoring the race.
If you are not in the area to pick up a form I will be happy to email you one!!!

Adoption Update
I heard from our social worker Emily today, who said that she was finishing our home study up today. That is really exciting. We have a dossier phone meeting on Wednesday to go over all of the documents we need to have prepared to get certified and authenticated at the local and state levels. Joey's birth certificate finally arrived!! YAY! Hopefully, in a few weeks our dossier will be in translation and our home study will be approved by immigration. Please pray that everything keeps moving smoothly. We are blessed to have more information than we thought we would have at this point in the process, but we don't have anything concrete enough to share. We have included in our homestudy that we would be willing to adopt siblings, so our one addition could turn into two!! We are praying for God's direction and provision. Please continue to pray for our family, both in Homerville and Haiti.

Quick update
We are moving right along through the paperwork part of our adoption process. We have ONE more homestudy meeting and we have finished our homestudy. Our wonderful caseworker will write the actual homestudy document that will be sent to immigration and Haiti and we will approve it and YAY we will be closer to submitting our dossier. Right now, I fear that Joey's birth certificate from Minnesota might be our hold up...we are STILL waiting for it. This week we will have our psychological evaluation...I hope he thinks we are sane! :-) After that appointment we only have a few more documents to compile to complete the dossier.
Please continue to PRAY for us and our future family!! God has opened some doors that we are excited about and continue to seek HIS will.
We are SOOOO thankful all of the support we received during our t-shirt fundraiser. We sold 196 t-shirts!!! We are thankful!!
We are now preparing for our Heels for Haiti 5K on May 17th!
